Easy Peasy Gluten Free Waffles




These waffles are an attempt to replicate the American breakfast favourite. I am reliably informed they taste just as good as gluten containing waffles! We love these served with maple syrup and lots of fresh fruit and berries.

Easy Peasy Gluten Free waffles

Ingredients

Makes 6

  • Eggs - 3, beaten
  • Lactose Free Milk - 150ml
  • Gluten Free Self Raising Flour (We use Doves Farm) - 230g
  • Caster Sugar - 30g
  • Butter - 100g
  • Vanilla Extract - ½ tsp
  • Salt - Pinch of

Method

Start by melting the butter over a gentle heat, then allow to cool but not solidify.

Whisk together the eggs, butter, milk and vanilla extract.

Then combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients (flour, salt and sugar) and combine well.

Leave to stand for a few minutes whilst the waffle make heats up.

Once the waffle maker has heated. Add the mixture and started cooking (you may need to experiment to see how much mixture your waffle maker fits as there may be some over-spill).
